Excellent new resource for University teachers
I just finished rreading Tony Harland's (2012) new book on University teaching. You can check out my short book review. I highly recommend it and predict that this will become a standard text for PGCerts all over the UK!
I agree, this does look like a useful book. But if you don't have time to read a whole book (!), how about Tomorrow's Professor Listserve - run by a really nice guy called Rick Reis at Stanford, who delivers an email into your inbox most days. I normally delete them, but when a topic really interests me I read. Today, for example: 'How to Inspire Students to Set and Achieve GoalsWhich Really Challenge Them'.
